Iceblood Days

One of the problems of being a high-ranking mage is that most of the challenges out there in the world are either too easy or else so hard they require a team of adventurers to complete. Not so the “battlegrounds” that dot Azeroth where between 10 and 40 warriors of the Alliance can compete against a similar number of the horde. My personal preference is for Alterac Valley, the largest of the combat grounds but also the one best suited to building a reputation. Like all BGs, it rewards teamwork but being a solo combatant is less of a hurdle - provided everyone still has some idea of what they’re doing. And there lies the rub; some people like to just fight rather than achieving the objectives (and its the most objective-driven BG) and if lots of people get involved in the HK hunt it can be a disaster.

Memories of Hallow's End

So, Hallows End is here again, a festival best known for its sugar sweets and funny costumes. This year things were expanded somewhat and in addition to sundry disguises (see below) an encounter with the Headless Horseman netted me my own broom (though only for 14 days).

Brewfest Retrospective

Er, I can remember Brewfest ... I think. Kinda hazy. Lots of beer. Some pink Eleks, Wappertingers and beer barrels. Lots of beer barrels. Oh, and Ram racing, Who can forget about those (me it seems ...)
